Courses Marked with a Single (*) or Double (**) Asterisk

The single asterisk (*) designates undergraduate courses that may be taken for graduate credit. Graduate or non-degree graduate students automatically receive graduate credit for any courses marked with a single asterisk (*). Undergraduate students within ten hours of completing their baccalaureate degree and with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 must submit an approved “Level Restriction/Graduate Credit Authorization Form” in order to receive graduate credit for such courses.

The double asterisk (**) designates undergraduate courses that may be taken for graduate credit by graduate students. Graduate credit is automatic if the graduate student is in a different degree program from that of the course marked with the double asterisk (**).

A graduate student who is enrolled in the same degree program offering the course must obtain a PROGRAM override from their department.
