The Office of Graduate Studies provides assistance to Graduate Teaching Assistants in the form of the TARC and ITARC workshops, through coordination and collaboration with the Office of Support for Effective Teaching (OSET), as well as on the Learning Resources page.
TARC/ITARC offer one-credit graduate courses for domestic and international teaching assistants to help them launch their teaching careers at UNM. Topics include an introduction to the teaching/learning environment at UNM, basic guidance in preparing classes, and student assessment and learning.
OSET offers a series of workshops every semester for faculty and teaching assistants covering such issues as alternative teaching methods, learning styles, course evaluation and student assessment.
This page provides helpful resources for graduate students on a variety of topics, including College Teaching.
