The University of New Mexico has established an Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) manuscript collection as part of the University Libraries LoboVault repository. LoboVault is an open access digital archive that electronically houses research and creative works produced at UNM or by UNM graduate students and faculty. When you are ready to submit your manuscript after passing your defense and completing all the formatting and approval listed above, you will submit the manuscript electronically as a single pdf file at the following URL: https://repository.unm.edu. You will also find the LoboVault repository link at the OGS Website: http://www.unm.edu/grad/indices/index_manuscripts.html. Click on the "LoboVault" link to access the repository site.
Note: It is imperative that you submit the complete manuscript including the Front Matter as a single pdf file.
Registering for the LoboVault Repository. Go to the “My Account” and click on “Register”; this will take you to another page where you will click on the Net ID Authentication link. Enter your UNM or other email address and click the “Register” button. You will receive a message that a registration e-mail has been sent to your email address. Log in to your email and look for an email from reposit@unm.edu. Open the email and click on the link address where you will register for your LoboVault UNM account by completing the required fields (First Name, Last Name, Contact telephone, Password, Again to Confirm Password). Click on the “Complete Registration” button. You will receive a message that registration is complete.
At this time, you must send an email to Doug Weintraub, OGS, Manuscript Coordinator, at dwein@unm.edu, to inform him that you have completed your LoboVault registration. He will add your registration information to the appropriate LoboVault collection and notify you by e-mail that you are now ready to transmit your manuscript to LoboVault.
Transmitting your manuscript to the LoboVault repository. When you have completed all of your required revisions and saved your complete manuscript, including Front Matter, as a single pdf file you are ready to transmit the final electronic manuscript to the LoboVault. Here are the steps you need to follow to transmit your file:
The manuscript stays in the LoboVault shadow archive until the Registrar confers the final degree, at which time the OGS manuscript coordinator electronically moves the manuscript from the shadow archive to the LoboVault open-access repository and (for doctoral students) to the ProQuest-UMI repository.
